Gerry Oh is an experienced management professional in commercial strategy development that includes strategic marketing, brand development, sales, distribution and e-commerce. He has made invaluable contributions to several organizations with his proven leadership, organization, communication, negotiation, and innovative skills.
He was Vice President Asia Pacific for Jet Airways for several years, responsible for the airline’s commercial business, marketing, sales, network development and operations in the region until April 2014. Before joining Jet Airways in 2007, he was Senior Vice President Global Sales & Marketing for the London listed Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C). This followed a successful career in Singapore Airlines where he started in Engineering and then moved to Network Planning and subsequently Marketing and International Sales. In Singapore Airlines, his portfolios included heading the airline’s substantive Alliances, Global Sales & Distribution as well as Marketing Communications & Development departments.
In the strategic marketing and branding arena, he has driven global and pan regional programs to increase brand equity. This included building/managing channel/partner marketing initiatives delivering strong outcomes in several markets.
Currently as a consultant, he continues to assist organizations/corporations develop new opportunities, generating demand and building strong teams.
He has spoken at international brand and marketing forums; was a board member of PATA (the Pacific Asia Travel Association), member of the Tourism Consultative Council in Singapore, lectured on international tourism and marketing, and is a regular speaker on leadership, negotiations and marketing at various conferences & institutions.
He was a board member of HSMAI and was also on the Advisory Board for Cornell NTU Hotel Management Program for Marketing & Information Systems as well as the International Advisory Panel of the Australian Tourism Commission.
