Donald Emmanuel PAYEN joined Air Mauritius in 1979. He has held various Management positions in Commercial, Customer Experience and Communications from 1988 and served the Company in Mauritius, Reunion, Singapore and France.

Donald sits on several Boards in Mauritius/overseas and has served on the Board of the Mauritius Tourism Authority for the past 12 years.

He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (UK) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (UK).

Donald is currently the Executive Vice President Customer Experience, Ground & In-flight Services of the Airline since September 2012 and in that capacity led the transformation of the airline's customer experience function and its upgrading this year to Four Stars status with Skytrax, the international rating agency.
